A personal online cooking tutorial with Merivale Head Chef, Dan Hong, has provided some much needed respite for Melbourne couple, Chris and Aprille, winners of Meat & Livestock Australia’s (MLA) recent Lamb Legends competition.
Chris nominated his wife, Aprille, as a legend in the competition which ran on social media, for all her incredible work as a Doctor in a Melbourne hospital throughout 2020.
Chris has been cooking Dan’s ‘iso recipes’ for Aprille to keep them going through a challenging year.

MLA’s Spring Lamb campaign featured a new content series which aimed to demonstrate the ease and versatility of cooking with lamb by celebrating local Aussie heroes with renowned Aussie chefs cooking them legendary lamb meals to say thanks for their inspiring work.
The Lamb Legends series featured top chefs – MasterChef star Hayden Quinn, Mr Wong legend Dan Hong and Three Blue Ducks chef Darren Robertson – saying thanks to a deserving legend with a tasty lamb meal.
“At a time when we needed it most, the series highlighted the positive impact of connecting and sharing a delicious lamb meal with others,” MLA Domestic Market Manager Graeme Yardy said.
“The feel-good campaign showcased inspiring legendary stories shared over a quick and easy lamb dish that can be easily prepared at home.
“Chris and Aprille really encapsulate what the series was about – as everyone dealt with the challenges of 2020.”
