Large hydro crop uncovered in southern suburbs, South Australia

A man and a woman have been arrested following the discovery of a cannabis crop at Sellicks Beach today.

Just after 9.30am on Saturday 19 June, police attended a property on Seascape View where they carried out a search uncovering a large and sophisticated hydroponic cannabis crop. Police seized almost 260 cannabis plants which were being grown in six rooms inside the property.

A 51-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman, both from Sellicks Beach, have been charged with cultivate a commercial quantity of a controlled drug, possess prescribed equipment and divert electricity. They have been bailed to appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on 23 July.
