The City of Ballarat is working through a concept design with Regional Roads Victoria for the intersection of Learmonth and Sturt streets, and is inclusive of Learmonth Street to Cuthberts Road. Within the concept, it does include a pedestrian crossing but it’s still being worked through with Regional Roads Victoria at this point.
Regional Roads Victoria have responsibility for the speed limits in this area. At this point, the City of Ballarat has not considered an advocacy position in relation to the reduction of the speed limit in this location.
The City of Ballarat has agreed that ultimately it will be the delivery agent for this infrastructure.
