As we head towards the May federal election the question of preference deals has raised its head, with the Coalition ruling out doing any preference deals with Pauline Hanson’s One Nation.

Conservative Party leader Cory Bernardi says the Senate voting system means you now only have to nominate six numbered preferences and are no longer forced to number the boxes of parties you would never dream of voting for.

Senator Bernardi has told Paul Murray Live on Sky News what Prime Minister Morrison has not done, is give an undertaking that the Coalition will put any candidates or parties last on their how-to-vote cards.
