Today marks 100 days until Victorians choose the next government of this state.
And in 100 days from now, Victoria could have a fresh start.
Our team takes nothing for granted, but if Victorians give us the honour of electing a Liberal and Nationals Government, we will be ready from day one.
The Our First 100 Days plan outlines the immediate actions we will take to reduce crime, lower costs and deliver a government that works.
Within 100 days of an elected Wilson Liberal and Nationals Government our team will:
- Implement our Fair Share Guarantee – locking in 25 per cent of infrastructure expenditure for regional Victoria
- Commence recruitment of 3,000 additional Victoria Police officers
- Immediately recall Parliament to sit before Christmas to pass legislation to implement Adult Crime, Adult Time, a new one-strike rule for bail and abolish the emergency services tax, schools tax and GP tax.
- Cancel the VNI West project and throw open the doors to new conventional gas
- Begin eliminating one million potholes across the road network.
Leader of the Opposition, Jess Wilson, said: “Fixing Victoria will not be easy, but my team has plan and is ready to deliver.
“Our team takes nothing for granted, but if we are given the honour of forming government in 100 days, we will not waste a day implementing our plan to reduce crime, lower costs and deliver a government that works.
“We will take the disciplined and responsible decisions to get our state back on track and we will always put Victorians first.”
Leader of The Nationals, Danny O’Brien, said: “Regional Victorians have been waiting a long time for their fair share and in 100 days they finally have the opportunity to vote for a fresh start.
“A fair share means better roads, safer communities, stronger local services and more investment in the towns and communities that make Victoria great and we’ll deliver this by ending the waste and stopping the corruption.
“Only the Liberals and Nationals have a plan to deliver a fair share for regional Victoria and a fresh start for our state.”
