Library and Information Week

Library Week

Did someone say free coffee? Hawkesbury Library Service is celebrating Library and Information Week from Monday, 25 July to Friday, 29 July with a free coffee cart available from 10am to midday daily at Hawkesbury Central Library at 300 George Street, Windsor.

The theme for Library and Information Week 2022 is Rewrite, Renew, Reimagine. We are inviting the Hawkesbury community to re-engage with the Library and the services we offer. Explore our health and wellbeing collection to help you Rewrite your story. Renew an old passion with our hobby and crafting collection. Reimagine the world with our science-fiction, graphic novel and manga collections.

To celebrate Library and Information Week, we will have two tablets up for grabs. There are two ways to win: you can fill in an entry form at the branch, or submit a selfie on Facebook or Instagram with your Hawkesbury Library Service card using the hashtag #HawkesburyLIW2022. The most creative selfie entry will win. If selfies aren’t your thing, you can fill out an entry form in person at Richmond or Windsor branches. In-branch entries also go into the draw to win a tablet and you will also have the opportunity to win a daily ‘winter warmer’ prize.

So, bring the kids, grab a cuppa from our coffee cart, and join in with Rhymetime on Monday and Storytime on Tuesday, 26 July. On Wednesday, 27 July, you can get some free legal advice or see a Justice of the Peace to get those documents certified. On Thursday, 28 July, we will be bringing out the chess boards for some friendly competition at Chess Club, and on Friday, 29 July, we will feel all warm and fuzzy as we Knit with Friends.

The Library and Information Week coffee cart and competition will run from Monday, 25 July to Friday, 29 July 2022 and it is free to join in, so we hope to see you soon!
