Little to celebrate after 8 years of Liberal Government

Tasmanian Labor

Tasmanians have very little to celebrate on the 8th anniversary of the election of the Liberal government.

The legacy of the tired and out of touch Gutwein government will undoubtedly be its failure to deliver.

The fantasy underground bus mall promised by the Liberal government is the hallmark of this government’s failure to deliver.

The Tasmanian community deserves better than artists’ impressions that never get built.

Projects like the Bridgewater Bridge, the Tamar Bridge, the four-lane Midlands Highway, the Cradle Mountain Cableway, the Macquarie Point development, the passenger rail through the northern corridor, and the Shiploader at Burnie remain either behind schedule or abandoned.

The Gutwein government’s abandoned promises and delays to infrastructure projects have cost jobs and hurt businesses.

This is a government that has been all talk and no delivery. One that ‘aspires’ to everything but accomplishes nothing.
