Our volunteers have been busy growing thousands of local native plants at The Shed Biodiversity Nursery. This winter we will be offering wildflowers, shrubs and trees to City of Burnside residents for planting in their gardens, private creeks or hills face properties.
Local natives are species that have grown in the Burnside area for thousands of years. Planting local natives is the best way to encourage birds and beneficial insects to your garden.
You can select and order your plants online and choose a time to pick them up from the biodiversity nursery. Dozens of species are available. We suggest a $2 donation per plant to help us keep growing. Limit of 100 plants per person.
