Shellharbour City Council is proud to announce Bendigo Bank Oak Flats and Gerringong as the naming rights sponsor for Eats and Beats Oak Flats on Saturday 19 September.
The spring edition of the popular Eats and Beats series will bring the best of local culture, cuisine and entertainment to the Central Avenue and Oak Flats town centre, supported by a valued community sponsor.

“Council is thrilled to have Bendigo Bank Oak Flats and Gerringong on board as the naming rights sponsor for Eats and Beats Oak Flats,” Shellharbour City Mayor Homer said.
“This partnership reflects a shared commitment to strengthening our local community, supporting small businesses and creating opportunities for people to come together and enjoy their town centres.”
Mayor Homer said the sponsorship would help enhance the event experience while continuing to deliver a free, family-friendly event for the community.
“Eats and Beats has become a much-loved series across Shellharbour, and partnerships like this help ensure we can continue to deliver dynamic, high-quality events that bring real benefits to our local economy and community life,” he said.
Bendigo Bank Oak Flats and Gerringong Chair Geoffrey Egan said the organisation was proud to support an event that celebrates local character and connection.
“As a community bank, our focus is on giving back and investing in initiatives that bring people together and support the local community, and this event is a perfect example of that,” he said.
Eats and Beats Oak Flats supported by Bendigo Bank Oak Flats and Gerringong will feature a lively mix of street food, live music, market stalls and family-friendly entertainment, creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for residents and visitors alike.
The Eats and Beats series is proudly presented by Shellharbour City Council and funded by the NSW Government’s Open Streets Program led by Transport for NSW, with Council securing $350,000 in funding to bring these vibrant events to life.
Minister for Transport, John Graham said:
“Too often our main streets are something we drive through, rather than drive to. As this event highlights, we can use our streets to bring communities together and drive revenue for local businesses.
“Through the Open Streets program, the Minns Labor Government is making it easier for councils across NSW to activate their streets, cutting red tape and supporting local events like Eats and Beats.”
