Changes to the NT’s Anti-Discrimination Act 1992 have been introduced to Parliament following a lengthy consultation period with relevant stakeholders stretching back to 2017-2018. The final NT Anti-Discrimination Amendment Bill 2022 updates the protected grounds on which a person might face discrimination to bring the legislation into line with protections already existing in many other jurisdictions.
