The Macleay River is currently rising due to rainfall in the catchment over the last 48 hours.
A peak is progressing downstream and passed through George’s Creek at approximately 4pm Sunday 9 October.
Low lying bridges that cross the Macleay River may close overnight into early Monday morning.
Residents that rely on the bridges that cross the Macleay River or those on low lying land should monitor the situation and act appropriately.
