Macquarie Asset Management (Macquarie), on behalf of its institutional clients and managed funds, has provided €125 million in senior term loan financing to Eurofiber, a provider of industry-leading open digital infrastructure.
Serving hyperscalers and wholesale and enterprise customers, Eurofiber operates a 77,500km fibre network spanning the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, and Germany, alongside eight data centres in the Netherlands.
The financing forms part of a c.€2.2 billion refinancing aimed at establishing a long-term funding platform to support Eurofiber’s continued expansion and growing demand for high-capacity connectivity across northern Europe. The financing will enable additional flexibility for Eurofiber to continue investing in its fibre and cloud infrastructure, supporting innovation and future growth across its core markets.
Andy Liu, Director at Macquarie Asset Management, said: “As demand for digital connectivity continues to grow, we are pleased to support Eurofiber with this financing and help advance its continued growth and delivery of secure, resilient, and scalable digital infrastructure across Europe. Utilising our deep digital infrastructure expertise and structuring capabilities, this transaction demonstrates our ability to provide clients with access to a high-quality, mission-critical asset through a sustainability-linked financing.”
Among the investors is InEvo Re, a specialist reinsurer launched by Macquarie Asset Management. InEvo Re partners with life insurers globally to deliver tailored capital and reinsurance solutions, helping them manage risk and unlock long-term growth opportunities.
The transaction was delivered through Macquarie Asset Management’s Credit & Insurance division, an integrated global credit platform delivering a comprehensive range of solutions across private credit, liquid credit, and insurance. It manages approximately €140 billion in AUM. Recent transactions include a €125 million senior term loan to lyntia, a leading Iberian telecommunications infrastructure operator, and a €350 million financing facility to French renewable energy producer CVE.
