Major makeover for Maryborough Police Station

Minister for Police Mark Ryan and Member for Maryborough Bruce Saunders today toured the new refurbishments at Maryborough Police Station.

Minister Ryan said the Palaszczuk Government had invested more than $520,000 to upgrade the station.

“This refurbishment will ensure police in this area are well resourced to do their job boosting community safety,” he said.

“Our investment reflects the Palaszczuk Government’s commitment to the police that serve the Fraser Coast region.

“These upgrades have delivered new office space that will provide a safer and more functional work environment for local police.”

Minster Ryan said the works also supposed the construction industry, which in turn supported local jobs.

“Investments in police facilities are a win for the whole community.”

Mr Saunders welcomed the upgrades and said the Palaszczuk Government has a strong track record supporting local police.

“The Queensland Police Service is truly world class, and our hardworking officers in Maryborough deserve the very best facilities,” he said.

“I’ve seen their fantastic work in the community, and I’m confident these refurbishments will make their day-to-day duties easier.

“I’m proud to say the Palaszczuk Government continues to deliver for a safer Maryborough.”
