Our people will have access to new online tools and resources, including training and support which will help them approve surgery requests and payments faster, more accurately and in line with approved guidelines.
To avoid delays, our surgery guidelines and Medical Items Table of Costs will help you understand what procedures and fees are applicable, and the correct item numbers to use when completing the request for surgery approval form.
The guidelines also contain information on the multiple operation rule which is applicable if two or more operations, other than amputations, are being performed on a patient on the one occasion.
