Man assaulted in Bradbury

Inquiries are continuing into the alleged assault of a man in Sydney’s south-west overnight.

Officers from Campbelltown City Police Area Command have been told five men were involved in a fight on the street at St Johns Road, Bradbury, about 6.30pm (Tuesday 11 August 2020).

A 71-year-old man was allegedly punched to the ground then kicked and punched by four men before bystanders intervened and called emergency services. The four men left the scene before police arrived.

The Bradbury man remains in Liverpool Hospital where he’s being treated for a suspected broken jaw and facial fractures, severe swelling and bruising, a suspected dislocated right shoulder, and abrasions to the head and body.

Police established a crime scene and an investigation is underway.
