Man assisting police after hit-run collision in Tarneit

A man has self-presented to police this morning following a hit-run collision in Tarneit last night.

A 21-year-old woman was left injured in the middle of Leakes Road, near the intersection of Penrose Promenade, after being struck by a vehicle about 5.45pm on Thursday, 16 June.

She was taken to hospital in a serious condition.

It is understood the driver did not stop to assist the woman and left the scene, east bound towards Derrimut Road.

A Tarneit man, aged in his 20s, is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
