A man has been charged with possession of a firearm and drugs on the states north coast.
About 12.15pm yesterday (Thursday 5 June 2026), officers from Mid North Coast Police District executed a Firearms Prohibition Order at a home on Gregory Street, South West Rocks.
It will be alleged that police located a gel blaster, steroids and cannabis in the home.
A 43-year-old man was arrested at the premises and taken to Kempsey Police Station.
He was charged with possess unauthorised firearm, possess prohibited drug, supply prohibited drug >small & <=indictable quantity and possess/attempt to, prescribed restricted substance.
The man was refused bail to appear at Bail Division – Court 1 where he was granted conditional bail to appear at Kempsey Local Court on Thursday 18 June 2026.
