A man has died in hospital following a crash in Carrum Downs on 5 December.
Investigators have been told a man was riding an unregistered monkey bike when he lost control and crashed into a pole on Carrington Crescent about 9.45pm.
The 26-year-old local man was airlifted to hospital with life threatening injuries but died this afternoon.
Police are still investigating the exact cause of the incident.
