Man dies after fatal crash in Belfield

A motorcycle rider has died following a crash in Sydney’s southwest.

About 6pm yesterday (Saturday 6 August 2022), emergency services responded to reports of a crash between a motorcycle and car at the intersection of Punchbowl Road and Chisholm Street, Belfield.

The rider – a 32-year-old man – died at the scene.

Officers from Campsie Police Area Command secured a crime scene which was examined by specialist police.

The 51-year-old male car driver was taken to Canterbury Hospital for mandatory testing. He was uninjured.

A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
