Greensborough Highway Patrol are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal motorcycle crash in Wollert this morning.
It is understood a male motorcyclist left the roadway and crashed into a barrier on Epping Road about 3am.
The rider sustained life-threatening injuries and later died in hospital.
He is yet to be formally identified.
