Man dies in hospital after workplace incident in Camellia

A man has died in hospital after a workplace incident in Sydney’s west yesterday.

About 9.50am (Monday 24 June 2019), a 52-year-old man was at a premises on Grand Avenue, Camellia, when an incident occurred which resulted in him being pinned between two trucks.

The man was treated at the scene before being taken to Westmead Hospital where he later died.

A crime scene was established which was examined by forensic specialists.

Officers from Cumberland Police Area Command will prepare a report for the Coroner.

SafeWork NSW officials will conduct an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
