A man has died two days after SUV car hit a power pole at Dural.
The 70-year-old man was driving a Toyota Landcruiser was north along Old Northern Road, Dural, about 1.10pm on Monday (2 May 2022), when the vehicle left the road, continued for 25m down a grass verge then hit a power pole.
Witnesses assisted the driver – and only occupant – before NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived and took him to Westmead Hospital suffering chest injuries.
Officers from Traffic and Highway Patrol Command attended and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Police have now been told the man had died in hospital about 3pm yesterday (Wednesday 4 May 2022).
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
