A disqualified driver will face court today charged after allegedly driving a stolen vehicle to two break and enters across in Sydney’s south-west.
About 7am on Wednesday 26 February 2020, a group of males allegedly broke into a store in Queen Street, Campbelltown before they stole two motorcycles.
On Wednesday 25 March 2020, police will allege that a man broke into a warehouse in Minto, and stole laptops, computers, mobile phones, personal identification, model trains, car keys and excavator keys.
It will further be alleged another Minto business was broken into, where a man stole security keys, and financial documentation just after 11pm on Saturday 28 March 2020.
About 2.15am on Sunday (29 March 2020), a man allegedly broke into another warehouse in Airds Road, Leumeah, where he stole bank cheque books and other financial documentation.
Detectives from Campbelltown City Police Area Command were notified and commenced an investigation.
Following extensive inquiries, detectives arrested a 21-year-old man at a property in Parkhill Crescent, Leumeah, about 12pm yesterday (Tuesday 31 March 2020).
A short time later, investigators conducted a search at the home, where they located mail believed to have been stolen, laptops, computers, mobile phones, stolen personal and financial documentation, keys, model trains, construction and plumbing equipment, and two motorcycles.
These items were all seized to undergo forensic examination.
The 21-year-old Leumeah man was taken to Campbelltown Police Station, where he was charged with four counts of break and enter and steal, possess identity information to commit indictable offence, take and drive conveyance without consent of owner, drive motor vehicle during disqualification period, and larceny.
Police will allege in court that the man stole a Holden Rodeo from a home in Leumeah on the evening of Saturday 28 March 2020.
He was refused bail to appear at Campbelltown Local Court today (Wednesday 1 April 2020).
Investigations are continuing.
