Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating after a man was struck by a vehicle in Balaclava last night.
It is believed the 70-year-old man was struck by a vehicle as he was walking in the vicinity of the Carlisle Street and Hawsleigh Avenue intersection, on Tuesday 12 September, about 8.10pm.
The man sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The driver of the vehicle, a 73-year-old Balaclava woman, has spoken with detectives and has been released pending further enquiries.
The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined and the investigation is ongoing.
