“Ai Group welcomes today’s release of the Medical Products National Manufacturing Priority road map. The strategies and direction will assist in consolidating the gains that the industry has made as one of our fastest growing sectors of Manufacturing,” Innes Willox, Chief Executive of the national employer association Ai Group said today.
“Business numbers and exports of medicinal and pharmaceutical products have grown significantly in the past five years with Australian-made medicinal and pharmaceutical product exports worth $5.6 billion in 2020.
“Business counts and exports of veterinary pharmaceutical manufacturing products have also grown substantially in recent-years.
“Australia has significant comparative advantages that mean we can be globally competitive and this strategy will ensure that companies can position themselves effectively,” Mr Willox said.
