Mens’ grief overlooked when miscarriage occurs

Research reveals inadequate healthcare and social support for male partners at time of miscarriage

A new Australian study, which explores male partners’ experiences of miscarriage, has revealed that most men feel a gross lack of support and acknowledgement of their loss as a father, compared to their female partner.

The study, published in PLOS ONE, supports the development of inclusive and tailored services for men to give them the opportunity to share their experiences and access information and support at the time of miscarriage.
