Mentoring Programme – Accelerating Impact kicks off with CIFAL Directors
5 July 2023, Geneva, Switzerland – UNITAR’s global network of CIFAL training centres is an instrumental platform dedicated to providing training and learning opportunities to a wide range of stakeholders, with special emphasis on local authorities and civil society leaders.
The CIFAL Global Network is composed of 30 International Training Centres for Authorities and Leaders across Asia, Africa, Australia, Europe, and North, Central and South America, reaching over 80,000 beneficiaries per year through almost 400 training and public awareness events on sustainable development-related areas.
The Mentoring Programme aims to support Directors of newly established CIFAL centres by accelerating learning, drawing expertise from CIFAL Directors with a longer trajectory, promoting collaboration and knowledge exchange around common topics and strengthening peer-to-peer relationships.
The first quarterly session of the Mentoring Programme kicked off today with Mentors including, Mr. Peter Wollaert, Director of CIFAL Flanders (Belgium), Dr. Edna Co, Director of CIFAL Philippines (Philippines), Dr. Mpilo Ngubane, Director of CIFAL Durban (South Africa, and Mr. Julio Andrade, Director of CIFAL Malaga (Spain).
The CIFAL Global Network is proud to welcome new Directors including, Dr. Luis Veiga Martins, Director of CIFAL Cascais (Portugal), Amb. Christine Nkulikiyinka, Chair of CIFAL Kigali (Rwanda), Dr Adam Switzer, Director of CIFAL Singapore (Singapore), Dr Jennifer Millam, Director of CIFAL Newcastle (Australia).
