If you’re in the market for a new role, Kempsey Shire Council has several opportunities that could be just what you’re looking for.

From water and sewer to marketing and communications, there is a dynamic array available.

One available position is a Senior Operator in the Water and Sewer Network. This role involves providing valuable support to the Team Leader Water Construction by coordinating and planning deliveries related to water and sewer treatment and transfer infrastructure.

Another exciting opportunity is as an Operator Sewer Process. Successful candidates will contribute to the overall treatment, operation, and maintenance of Council’s sewer treatment systems.

There is also an Operator Water Process role available, who works with the team to maintain Council’s water supply and recycled water treatment systems.

Aspiring horticulturists have the chance to join Council as an apprentice. This role requires self-driven individuals with a positive attitude and a keen interest in the horticulture industry.

Council is also seeking a Temporary Fulltime General Laborer to join the Water and Sewer team. This position provides an opportunity to contribute to essential infrastructure maintenance projects.

Corporate opportunities are also available within Council:

• A Flood and Drainage Engineer who will play a pivotal role in enhancing community safety and building flood resilience.

• A Development Compliance Officer who will ensure that local development activities adhere to safety, legal, and environmental regulations.

• Environmental Health Officers who will provide effective and efficient services to reduce risks to public health and the environment. They will administer, implement, and enforce Council’s On-Site Sewage Management Strategy.

Council is also looking for Communications and Engagement Officers to strengthen its outreach efforts:

• The Communications and Engagement Officer (Marketing) will work within the Communications team, developing and implementing campaigns across various channels to engage internal and external stakeholders.

• The Communications and Engagement Officer (Digital) will leverage their expertise in managing social media and online communications tools to generate compelling content.
