Million dollar grant program to enhance Aboriginal cultural tourism

The Territory Labor Government is supporting the Aboriginal tourism sector to grow and diversify, with a one million dollar funding pool for round five of the Aboriginal Tourism Grant Program.

Northern Territory Aboriginal owned businesses or organisations with a goal to develop or enhance Aboriginal cultural tourism experiences and products can apply for funding between $30,000 and $100,000 (excluding GST).

The funding may be used to upgrade or develop new infrastructure or develop new products such as on country accommodation or cultural evening experiences.

The grants are a key component of the Northern Territory Aboriginal Tourism Strategy 2020-2030, with a mission to develop a sustainable Aboriginal tourism sector.

This grant program will support the Strategy’s focus to develop quality experiences, products and services.
