A missing reportable child sex offender who was the subject of a Missing Reportable Offender publication on the Community Protection Website, www.danielslaw.qld.gov.au has been located interstate following coordinated efforts with interstate policing partners.
Queensland Police worked closely with interstate colleagues to progress enquiries and assist in locating the missing reportable offender.
Queensland Police would like to thank members of the community who provided information and assisted investigators during efforts to locate the missing reportable offender.
As the reportable offender has now been located, the public notification on the Missing Reportable Offender webpage has been removed from the Community Protection Website.
Daniel’s Law enables members of the public to access information about convicted child sex offenders who are on Queensland’s Child Protection Register. It aims to help all Queenslanders play a role in protecting children in our communities.
Queensland Police encourage members of the public to regularly visit the Community Protection Website, www.danielslaw.qld.gov.au, to stay informed about active Missing Reportable Offender notifications and to report any relevant information that may assist police investigations to Policelink on 131 444.
The community and media are reminded not to share or repost screenshots or images of reportable offenders, including those available on the Missing Reportable Offender webpage, as this could potentially result in a criminal offence.
