Orange Regional Museum is encouraging the next generation to share in our region’s history and culture with Mondays at the Museum.
Mondays at the Museum is a free fun-filled one-hour art and craft session designed to inspire preschool-aged children, and their grown-ups, to learn new things from the Museum’s exhibitions.
Each week the children explore a different aspect of the Museum’s displays before getting into a craft activity based on what they discovered.
This term, children can learn about how our busy towns and cities function with activities inspired by the interactive exhibition How Cities Work. If trucks, playgrounds, construction or shops are of interest to your little one, then these sessions are for you!

Orange City Council’s Services Policy Committee chair, Councillor Mel McDonell said the weekly sessions were a fun way to teach children about the Museum’s role in the community.
“Mondays at the Museum has been a regular fixture at the Museum for some time, however, there have been several disruptions to the program over the past two years due to the pandemic,’ Cr McDonell said.
“A new group of children have become old enough to attend in that time, so there might be parents and carers out there who would be interested in coming along but are unaware of the activities on offer.
“The sessions started back up in the Museum’s activity space in February and are not only great for kids but are an opportunity for parents and carers to enjoy time with their children in an educational environment and meet up with other Orange families.”
Mondays at the Museum is held from 10am to 11am each Monday during school term for children aged three to five years. Younger siblings are welcome to attend with their families. Book your free spot at eventbrite.
