The ACT Government’s Future of Education Equity Fund has delivered more than $15 million in support to eligible Canberra families to access education essentials since starting in 2022.
The Fund supports students from preschool to year 12 across all ACT schools, supporting eligible families to access essentials like book packs, uniforms, excursions, sports equipment and activities, tuition and music lessons. In doing so, the Fund ensures students have the necessary resources to engage with education and maximise opportunities important for learning and wellbeing.
Up to 30 September 2026, the 2026 Equity Fund round has provided more than $3.7 million to more than 6,300 students from more than 3,100 families.
The 2026 Equity Fund is open for applications until the end of November. Families can apply for all eligible students in the one application, even if they attend different schools.
Payments for the 2026 school year are:
- $400 for preschool students
- $500 for primary school students
- $750 for high school and college students.
