A sensational autumn day for a ride didn’t go to plan for a motorcyclist at Kancoona, north of Bright.

On Sunday 17 May, a 79-year-old rider went over the edge and down an embankment.
Technical rope rescue teams from Bright, Mount Beauty, Wangaratta and Wodonga all worked together to haul the rider to safety. Ambulance Victoria and Victoria Police were also on scene.
The rider was in a stable condition but taken to hospital via air ambulance for observation.
