Motorists advised to top up before Perth petrol prices rise 26 May

The average price of regular unleaded petrol (ULP) is set to increase by over 24 cents per litre (cpl) to 120.7 cpl tomorrow, so FuelWatch is encouraging Perth drivers, if they can, to fill up today to save money.

FuelWatch advises that on Wednesday 27 May 2020, most branded retailers are hiking their ULP price: Caltex, Caltex Woolworths and Coles Express hiking by between 33-36 cpl up to 129.9 cpl; Puma up to 129.7 cpl; 7-Eleven and BP up to 127.9 cpl; and Vibe up to 125.7 cpl.

Perth’s weekly petrol price cycle results in prices, on average, being cheapest on Monday and Tuesday and at their most expensive on Wednesday and Thursday – that’s why FuelWatch recommends filling up today.

If you need to fill up tomorrow, use FuelWatch as there are still over 35 sites selling below 94 cpl. The difference between the highest and lowest priced sites is 41 cpl, which means you can save up to $24 on a 60 litre tank of fuel.

Tuesday’s cheapest ULP is available for:

  • 91.9 cpl at Caltex StarMart Mundaring and Shell High Wycombe in the East;
  • 88.7 cpl at Costco Perth Airport in the South; and
  • 91.9 cpl at Caltex StarMart Doubleview in the North.

Wednesday’s cheapest ULP will be available for:

  • 91.9 cpl at Shell High Wycombe in the East;
  • 88.7 cpl at Costco Perth Airport in the South; and
  • 93.3 cpl at 7-Eleven Bassendean, Caltex Woolworths Ellenbrook, Puma Neerabup, United Bassendean, United Ellenbrook, United Hepburn Heights, United Lexia, United Mt Lawley, United Neerabup, United Northbridge, United Osborne Park and United Quinns Rocks in the North.
