Cessnock City Council is excited to announce the opening of our Visitor Information Centre Park and Outdoor Cinema at a special moonlight cinema event in December.

The official opening event commences at 5:00pm on 9 December with musicians Sami Cooke and Madeleine Hunt set to perform ahead of the screening of animated Disney/Pixar movie, ‘Elemental’. A range of kids’ activities including a photo booth is on hand throughout the event.

Cessnock City Mayor Jay Suvaal is encouraging the community to visit the new park and outdoor cinema.

“The Hunter Valley Visitor Information Centre is a great community asset and we are pleased to have added fantastic new community facilities to the venue, including a park, amphitheatre and outdoor cinema,” said Clr Suvaal.

“Our official opening offers a great night out with family and friends on Saturday 9 December but book your place today as spaces are limited.

“So, bring the family, a pillow and blanket and join us for a spectacular night under the stars!”

Tickets for the opening night event are $5, which includes a bottle of water or soft drink. Food and drinks are available for purchase from the Lovedale Café. Attendees may also bring their own snacks and dinner.

Only 250 tickets are available. To secure your place visit: Hunter Valley Visitor Centre Outdoor Cinema – Featuring ‘Elemental’ Tickets, Sat 09/12/2023 at 5:00 pm | Eventbrite
