Nar Nar Goon arrest

Two men were arrested for drugs offences in Nar Nar Goon last night.

A car approached a checkpoint on the Princes Highway about 9pm.

Officers spoke to the occupants of the car and noticed they were behaving erratically.

The men were asked where they were going and they told police they were headed to Bendigo.

Police search the vehicle and it is alleged they found over 1000 tablets of prescription medication and drug trafficking paraphernalia.

A 23-year-old man from Flagstaff and a 22-year-old man from White Hills were arrested.

Both were charged with traffick drug of dependence and bailed to a later date.

The men were was also found to be in breach of the directions issued by the Chief Health Officer and were each issued a $1652 penalty notice.

The directions by the Chief Health Officer, under the State of Disaster declared in Victoria, have been enacted to help stop the spread of Coronavirus.
