COVID-safe, in-person or online, today is the day to join AMA’s National Conference.

The AMA’s National Conference begins at 9am today in Sydney and online. For the next three days National Conference hosts speakers from Australia and the world discussing the challenges and future of Australian health. The event is COVID-safe with masks provided and social distancing measures in place, along with a ‘hybrid’ conference design allowing online participation in conference events.

Registration is still possible over the course of the conference by clicking here.

The programme features exciting speakers including two new speakers announced this week. Professor Nancy Baxter, Head of the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health, will be speaking in a session ‘COVID-19: What worked, what didn’t and what’s needed now’. Also joining the list of speakers is NSW Health Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant who will be joining the session on the international COVID experience.

The election of the AMA’s new President and Vice President takes place on Sunday at National Conference. AMA’s Rounds will begin reporting on the outcome of this and bring you highlights from the conference next week.

We look forward to seeing you in person or online at National Conference.
