NDIS workforce longitudinal research study is now open

The NDIS means a big change for how people with disability access and receive the services and support they need, and in turn is also a big change for people working in the disability sector.

Disability workers are invited to participate in a survey as part of a three-year longitudinal research project to help track the impact of the introduction of the NDIS on the disability workforce. The project is a key component of Keeping our sector strong: Victoria’s workforce plan for the NDIS.

While it’s recognised that Victorian disability workers and providers are operating in a challenging environment due to coronavirus (COVID-19), workers are encouraged to participate as this is the final year of the study. The study is a unique opportunity for disability workers to have a voice on the key issues affecting the valuable work they do under the NDIS.

With greater understanding of the experiences of disability workers, we can help build a skilled, diverse workforce that delivers high-quality, innovative support that feels valued for the work they do.

Complete the survey

Participation in the study involves answering an online survey that will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. Survey respondents will also be provided with the opportunity to opt-in to participate in a further interview or focus group, noting places for these research activities are limited.

The survey opened on 11 August 2020 and closes on 11 September 2020.
