Global law firm Ashurst Perkins Coie announces that partners Nicholas Mavrakis and Ben Hammond have been elected to the Board, commencing 1 November 2026.
Nicholas Mavrakis is a partner in the Complex Litigation team in Sydney and a client partner for Global Litigation, supporting the growth of global litigation client relationships. He has over 30 years’ experience in managing large and complex litigation in commercial disputes, regulatory investigations, class actions, securities law, cartel disputes fraud, and tax disputes, as well as having advised on investigations across a range of regulators in the US, Europe and Asia.
Ben Hammond is the Managing Partner of Ashurst Perkins Coie’s Hong Kong office and head of the Hong Kong financial regulation practice. He advises the largest international financial institutions, principal traders and family offices on complex regulatory issues across Asia, and is well known for his commercially minded approach and deep industry knowledge, including in the fintech sector.
