New CFA station for Nar Nar Goon

Liberal Party Victoria

A Matt Guy Liberals and Nationals Government will commit $8 million for the delivery of a new CFA station for Nar Nar Goon.

The current station is no longer fit-for-purpose and able to meet demand, despite Nar Nar Goon experiencing rapid growth as young families move in.

The new station will allow for better training and improved emergency preparedness for the large amount of callouts the brigade attends to each year.

Shadow Minister for Emergency Services, Brad Battin, said the Liberals and Nationals are committed to supporting our CFA volunteers.

“It’s so important we resource Nar Nar Goon CFA now as the community experiences continued growth and increased demand.”

“The volunteers at Nar Nar Goon do amazing work for the community, but they need the appropriate tools and facilities to do their job.”

Liberal Candidate for Narracan, Wayne Farnham, said the current station was at the end of its working life.

“At the moment the brigade is having to store new vehicles and equipment outside because they don’t have the space.”

“This is an important announcement for the Nar Nar Goon community and will give locals the assurance that their local CFA has the resources it needs to respond in an emergency.”
