New Courts Double Netball Fun At Reservoir High

Students and netball players across the northern suburbs can look forward to playing on new competition standard netball courts at Reservoir High School thanks to the Andrews Labor Government.

Minister for Community Sport Ros Spence today officially opened the new courts that will get kids on the court and help sports associations like the Darebin Netball Association and the Northern Football Netball League continue to grow their memberships.

Funded through the Inner City Netball Program, the $697,000 upgradeincludestwo new competition standard courts and lighting – allowing local netball teams to host training and competitions day and night, as well as running popular development programs such as NetSetGo for juniors.

Students from Reservoir High School and locals in the area will also be able to access the courts for social play.

Through the Inner City Netball Program, the Labor Government is building and upgrading 64 netball courts in inner city areas like Darebin.

The program has delivered 23 courts in Darebin across eight sites and is helping local netball clubs and associations, along with schools, field more teams and encourage more kids to get active.

Investments like these are all about creating jobs, stimulating local economies, bringing people together, and fast-tracking community recovery by improving the health, wellbeing, and social outcomes for Victorian communities

The Government has invested more than $1 billion in community sport and active recreation infrastructure since 2014.
