New facilities and greener spaces for Beaumaris Concourse

The Beaumaris Concourse Green upgrade is set to begin on 24 August 2026, bringing a range of improvements that will enhance accessibility, safety and amenity for the whole community.

The project includes a larger and more accessible public toilet facility, expanding from two to four cubicles, a new all-weather community shelter based on the community-endorsed 2023 design, improved lighting, safer pedestrian connections and a revitalised landscape featuring upgraded lawns, irrigation, new pathways and indigenous plantings.

The toilet facility will be relocated to improve accessibility and create four additional car parking spaces. Removing the existing toilet building will help restore the car park’s original layout and highlight the area’s established trees.

Community feedback played an important role in shaping the final design.

While there may be some temporary disruption during construction, the completed project will deliver a greener, safer and more welcoming space for residents, traders and visitors to enjoy for years to come.
