The City of Ballarat approved an application by Central Square management to remove a 20-year-old mural from one of its walls on April 10.
Central Square appropriately liaised with the community and offered the mural to the Dana Street Primary School, whose students had helped in its creation in 1999. The school is unable to accept it.
The mural is now being stored by Central Square until it can find a worthy new home and the City of Ballarat would encourage any community group who may be able to display it appropriately to contact Central Square management directly.
