Tasmanian business Maveric Builders Pty Ltd have been awarded a $1.4 million contract to build a new kindergarten for the Bowen Road Primary School.

This comes as part of the Tasmanian Government’s commitment to rebuilding our economy and supporting jobs in the state by using Tasmanian companies to deliver vital infrastructure projects.

The upgrade will include two flexible learning areas and significant improvements to the entrance area, which will improve disabled access and provide upgrades to external play areas.

Tasmanian business Morrison & Breytenbach Architects was commissioned late last year to oversee this project that will deliver important improvements.

Quality early years education is a key factor in lifting educational outcomes, which is why the Tasmanian Government is investing more than $15 million in upgrades to early learning facilities and brand new kindergartens around the state, while also creating jobs and supporting the economy.

We want students to develop a life-long love of learning from a young age which is why we are ensuring they have access to state of the art facilities that are welcoming, safe and inclusive.
