New kindergarten facility at Bowen Road Primary School

Elise Archer,Liberal Member for Clark

The Hodgman majority Liberal Government knows that contemporary school facilities improve educational outcomes which is why we are investing $15 million into new kindergartens and early learning facilities around the state.

Today a significant capital works project tender has been advertised for construction of a new kindergarten facility at Bowen Road Primary School.

Quality early years’ education is a key factor in lifting educational outcomes and our kindergarten upgrades program is part of the Hodgman majority Liberal Government’s commitment to ensure students and staff have the best environments possible in which to learn and work.

We want to invest in the well-being of students and staff across Tasmania and demonstrate our commitment to creating environments that are welcoming, safe and inclusive for all.

Research tell us that if we want to improve lifelong education and well-being outcomes then the best time to invest is in the early years of life when children learn to communicate, get along with others and control and adapt their behaviour, emotions and thinking.

The Hodgman majority Liberal Government is proud to be investing in capital works projects such as these to help build Tasmania’s education future while also driving economic growth and creating jobs from planning through to construction.
