Sports fields at Smithtown, Kemp Street and the Crescent Head netball courts are receiving lighting upgrades.
First in line for this exciting change is Smithtown sports fields, with upgrades starting Monday 11 September. After that, Crescent Head netball courts will get their turn, followed by two sections of Kemp Street sports fields. This project is expected to take a few months to complete.
The upgrades will see better light for training and night games, sure to shine a spotlight on the Kempsey Shire’s talented athletes.

Kemp Street and Crescent Head netball court lighting upgrades were made possible thanks to grant funding. Smithtown sport fields lighting upgrade is being delivered in line with Council’s Operational Plan.
