New lights at BMX Club a bonus for riders

Ballarat Sebastopol Rush BMX Club riders will soon enjoy longer riding time following the installation of four new light poles at the site.

Installing these poles has been a significant milestone for the club. Each new light pole is 25 metres in height and features four LED light fittings per pole.

The new 200 lux LED lighting system also includes a power supply to the starting hill for future starting gates installation, a new switchboard and added electrical infrastructure.

This $300,000 project, situated at Marty Busch Reserve, Sebastopol is funded by the City of Ballarat and will be delivered by DeAraugo & Lea Electrical Contractors.

“The installation of these lights is yet another milestone in the Council’s sports infrastructure development,” Cr Ben Taylor, Mayor of the City of Ballarat, said.

“BMX riders will now have many more opportunities to pursue their pastime and increase their exercise options.”
