New visitor amenities now open at Mt Field National Park

John Tucker,Liberal Member for Lyons

New visitor amenities have now been opened at the Government Huts at Mt Field National Park.

Located on Lake Dobson Road, in the alpine region of the park, the improved visitor amenities will enhance the experience for visitors, bushwalkers and skiers staying overnight in the accommodation.

The Tasmanian way of life is the envy of the world, and being able to easily access our national parks and experience all they have to offer is part what makes our lifestyle so special.

The Hodgman majority Liberal Government is investing an unprecedented $31 million over four years to future-proof our parks infrastructure and enhance the experiences for locals and visitors.

The new amenities have been locally designed and built to sensitively match the traditional hut profiles of the adjacent historic buildings.
