Community groups, organisations, and individuals are encouraged to bring their ideas to life, with applications for Camden Council’s Community Grants Program and Community Sponsorship Program now open.
The programs provide funding to support projects, programs, services, events, and initiatives that deliver positive outcomes for the Camden community.
The Community Sponsorship Program supports community events and one-off activities that foster community participation, celebrate local identity, and bring people together. Funding is available for eligible events and activities held between 1 January and 30 June 2027.
The Community Grants Program provides eligible organisations with up to $6,500 in funding to deliver projects, programs, services, and initiatives that benefit the Camden community. Funding is available across six categories:
- Community Wellbeing;
- Art and Culture;
- Social Inclusion;
- Environment and Sustainability;
- Sport and Recreation; and
- Minor Works.
Projects funded through this round are to be delivered between 1 January and 31 December 2027. Applications for both programs close on Monday 7 September.
Mayor of Camden, Cr Therese Fedeli, said Council’s Community Grants and Community Sponsorship Programs provided valuable opportunities for local groups.
“Our community groups, not-for-profit organisations and local volunteers are at the heart of what makes Camden such a great place to live, work and play,” she said.
“Through these programs, Council is proud to support local ideas that create opportunities for participation, celebrate our diverse community, and deliver positive outcomes for residents.”

Applicants are encouraged to attend one of Council’s free Grants Information Sessions to learn more and strengthen their application. Following an information session, applicants who have additional questions or would like feedback on their project, program or event idea are encouraged to book a one-on-one Grants Kiosk appointment with a Council Officer.
Information sessions will be held on:
- Wednesday 19 August, 6-7pm, at Narellan Library;
- Thursday 27 August, 4-5pm, online;
- Monday 31 August, 10-11am, online; and
- Friday 4 September, 3-4pm, at Camden Library.
