Next step for Walking Off War Within

CFA will be taking part in the Mildura Walking off the War Within on Saturday 14 March.

Next step for Walking Off The War Within

Following last weekend’s Walking off the War Within at Ballarat, CFA members will come together on Saturday 14 March in Mildura to raise awareness of depression and post-traumatic stress disorder as well as honour the memory of CFA firefighter Nathan Shanahan.

Last weekend was a great success with over 1,500 people walking for mental health. As well as the walk, there were several speeches including one from Deputy Chief Officer Gavin Freeman. Attendees enjoyed stalls, bouncy castles, food trucks, and even received a massage. Ballarat was the first of three events that will be held over the next few weeks.

Participants can complete the ultimate challenge – a 20-kilometre walk carrying 20 kilograms – or walk any distance with or without a pack.

Join us at these Walking Off The War Within events.
